What keeps me reading is interesting characters I can relate to.
Also, an interesting plot with many twists and turns and a cliff hanger at the end of a chapter.
What keeps me reading is a great series where I already know the characters.
What keeps me reading is when I want to find the answer to something, I look for it and then find more information that provokes more questions and this goes on....

Fiction
What keeps me reading is books with adventure because you don't know where the adventure could be or what tasks it involves. I also like a book with riddles because I like to make connections to the riddles. I also love a book with mystery because I can make a prediction to solve the mystery. I love a book with twists and turns because you never know what those twists and turns could be.
Non-fiction
What keeps me reading is that it is all real. And gives me information and one day I can use it. I love that some non-fiction books have very detailed pictures so I can see what is going on.

I never give up a book because I get locked into the subject and just can't stop!
Also I like learning and books are a great place to learn stuff that I'm interested in.]
